A "Release" is your request to remove a railcar from your siding.

Once a railcar has been properly loaded or emptied, it is ready for release to our railroad for movement. Before a railcar can be released, please ensure that all railcar appliances are properly secured and seals attached if necessary. A Bill o Lading Form or Empty Release Form must accompany or precede the release of all rail cars.

Please note that even though a Bill of Lading or Empty Release Form is filled in and processed, no rail car(s) are considered Released for Demurrage purposes if the rail car(s) are not ready for the Railroad to remove from the customer site. Please see our Tariff Items 300 thru 350 inclusive.

You may print out and use our Empty Release Form or Bill of Lading Form. Forms should be faxed to our Northumberland, PA office at (570) 473-8432. Forms can be faxed 24 hours a day.
