Trackman & CDL Driver
Job Description
Trackman work consists of routine maintenance on railroad tracks, bridges, and right of ways. Trackmen perform manual labor duties and work with a team/crew to complete the duties outlined below. CDL Driver will assist in transporting large trucks and equipment for railroad work. Workdays are from 7AM-5PM Monday through Thursday with potential for extra time when needed.
Reporting Location
Lycoming Valley Railroad at 421 Reighard Avenue, Williamsport, PA
Duties
Replace cross ties, switch timbers, bridge timbers, & rail.
Perform crossing replacements.
Work with a tie crew & a surfacing crew to make repairs to the track structure.
Cut & remove fallen trees.
Will need to use hand tools to perform above duties (Ex. Hammers, Claw Bars, Shovels, Etc.).
Will operate power tools (gas, pneumatic, & hydraulic).
Operate hand-thrown switches.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have a valid CDL license.
Must have reliable means of arriving at work (and on time) each day.
Must pass preemployment background checks, physical fitness tests, and drug testing.
Must be willing to submit to random drug and alcohol tests.
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to work individually and as a team member.
Must be able to make quick and responsible decisions regarding safety on and off track.
Must be able to visually & audibly detect trains or other on-track equipment.
Must be able to perform physical labor (lift/move 60lbs & occasionally may have to lift up to 100lbs).
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to walk on uneven/unstable surfaces.
Must be a safety-oriented individual

Nittany & Bald Eagle Railroad Conductor/Engineer
Job Description
This is a safety-sensitive environment. Clean drug testing is mandatory.
Employees are guaranteed a 40-hour work week.
On the job training will be provided. A Railroad Conductor begins employment as a Conductor Trainee and trains to become a Certified Railroad Conductor/Engineer.
Reporting Location
Nittany & Bald Eagle Railroad at 102 Upper Coleville Road, Bellefonte, PA
Duties
Conductors/Engineers will be a member of train service on a full-time basis and complete miscellaneous duties as required.
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be a US Citizen
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, fitness testing, vision and audio screening, and background checks
Must be able to pass random drug and alcohol testing
Must have a good driving record
Must have reliable means of arriving at work (and on time) each day
Must be able to perform physical labor (lift/move 60lbs & occasionally may have to lift up to 100lbs)
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Must be able to walk on uneven/unstable surfaces for long distances
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Must be able to work individually and as a team member
Must be able to make quick and responsible decisions regarding safety on and off track
Must be a safety-oriented individual
Must be a good team player
Must be available to work weekends (when necessary)
Must be available to work up to 12 hours per day (when necessary)
